All the Chaos You Created
All the Chaos You Created
by Nick Gisburne
Take me to the country, where the fruits and flowers grow
Meadows filled with butterflies and bees
Show me to the valleys where forgotten rivers flow
Lead me through the forests and the trees
Give me lakes with fish too quick to catch
Everything your avarice will snatch
When you promise us perfection it’s a gift you’ll never give
You’re a liar too despicable and quick
There is nowhere in this paradise you’ll ever let us live
You will burn it down and smother it with brick
All the chaos you created makes me sick
Take me to the places where the fat pollution flows
Twisting tides of sewage in the seas
Cities where a subjugated population grows
Neon ghettos riddled with disease
Send me to the suffocating smoke
Show me what your blind ambition broke
When you promise us perfection it’s a gift you’ll never give
You’re a liar too despicable and quick
There is nowhere in this paradise you’ll ever let us live
You will burn it down and smother it with brick
All the chaos you created makes me sick
Ripping up the future, choking every root
Everything we need will die beneath your boot
Show me what your promises pretended to preserve
Bury it beneath us with a curse
Chain me to the darkness of the damage I deserve
Choking on the chance to make it worse
Burn the forests, poison every lake
Tear the world apart and watch it break
When you promise us perfection it’s a gift you’ll never give
You’re a liar too despicable and quick
There is nowhere in this paradise you’ll ever let us live
You will burn it down and smother it with brick
Shake the pillars of the skies
Take the colour from our eyes
Break the world we all despise and make it quick
All the chaos you created makes me sick
